Hey Everyone Don’t forget that this Sunday, April 11, 2010, we are hosting the CAPA Print Competition at the Community Center (same place as we hold our meetings, just in the bigger room at the end of the hall). Invitations were sent out to all Lower Mainland Photo Clubs but I’m really not sure how many people will be attending. If you can come out and support our club – you will see what other clubs are shooting from across the country. If you can lend a hand in setting up – please be there for 11:00 a.m. If you volunteered to bring goodies – please be there by 11:45. Or if you just want to come and watch – the competition is due to start at 12 noon and run to about 1:30. Hope to see you all there! Mary Ann For those people on facebook you can become friends of http://www.scottkelby.com/blog/2010/archives/9233 lots of useful information. Some of you may know of this company: thinkTANK photo and some of you – like me – may have never heard of them. Their equipment looks pretty neat and maybe a possible alternative for those of us who are not quite satisfied with other products out there. There is one distributor in the Vancouver area that carries them: beau photo down on W 6th. I haven’t looked closely to see if you can order stuff online [and forgo Vancouver traffic and beau photo's awkward hours of operation]. But, hey, I thought I’d share this with you all. Happy shooting! |
