Hi Nancy,
Thank you for your comments. I set up on tripod and did time exposures using the Bulb setting. Top one is shot at f22, 18mm, (manual focus) 5 seconds, iso 100. The second pic was shot at same settings except only 4 seconds. I basically held the shutter open until I felt that the camera picked up the image. A bit of experimenting on the timing and positioning of the camera, as the fireworks are not sent up to the same area each time.
